Hi there,

I have been studying Muso Jikiden Eishin-ryu and have recently moved to Leicester, UK.

Anyone know of a dojo in or around it?

Thanks in advance.

Chris

Hi Chris

Please have a look at this link...

http://www.kendo.org.uk/pmwiki.php/Main/England

and find the closest ones to you. I will be able to tell you if they are Muso Jikiden or Shinden.

Otherwise you might want to PM Chidokan to find any local Roshukai dojos.

six and two threes for dojos... Walsall with Scott, Nottingham with Brian, who is one of the senior guys for Roshukai MJER. (He has a new posh dojo.... we all hate him... :) ) Either way you'll have to travel, until you are up to running your own place! I used to have to go to Brighton from Darlington, so a short trip like the one you have is easy...

Hi Chris,

Just out of interest, who did you study MJER with?

All the best,

Scott

I studied with several that brokeaway from the BKA

The club is called Kenseikai based in East London and East Herts. My sensei was called Dave, Keith (very large chap who passed away last year) and Fujii Sensei

http://www.kenseikai-east-london.co.uk/

I think there was some split in the dojo teachers as it all changed in the last year or so.

So looking for a fresh start where politics does not affect the training you get!!

Yeah, we know Dave, Dave and Keith. Do you not practice with them anymore?

I didnt live close enough to go to be honest....shame as Dave is really good!

I spent a couple of sessions with Keith...for a big guy he scared the hell out of me! A great swordsman and he is very much missed. Although I am glad to say that he passed his indepth knowledge of Niten onto Dave so they regularly practice it.
