Hello fellow Genbukan practitioners.

I am wondering if you can help me with a problem I am having with a translation.

In Ninja seishin, we pronounce 倒す as seisuru, but the dictionary reading is taosu. Can someone explain to me why we say seisuru?

Thank you very much for any help.

Sincerely,

I think seisuru can mean "control" but it's a different, although similar, kanji.

This 'sei' means subjugate, if that's the one you're thinking of.

Just don't confuse it with this 'sei.suru'.

The kanji and kana that you are looking for are 制する.

I found these in the Membership license. When I looked this kanji up it gave me Sei (suru) as the first example. The meaning is "control, supress"
