What does open mean exactly? Open as long as we do Seitei iai or Koryu is accepted?

Hi Seb
Open in that it's not the national championships (we won't do that until there's a worlds) so anyone can participate. Of course you'd need to join an IKF affiliated national organization (since it's the CKF champs) and yes you need to use seitei since the competion is shitei waza for zen ken ren iai.
At higher levels (likely the second division and up, after ikkyu-shodan) koryu will be required alongside the zen ken ren shitei waza.
