Stuck under 2 feet of snow, what was left to do but to watch the marathon non-stop? :)

My favorites: Muramoto of Nobu vs. Bobby Flay. Funny that Muramoto (did I get his name right?) cooked much more traditional Japanese fare than usual. Meanwhile, Flay exemplified the worst of New American - overwrought dishes like crab with squid on top of squid ink pasta plus coriander sauce plus scallions plus umpteenth other twitches.

Contrast Flay's frenetic dishes with Ron Siegel of California who challenged Sakai and won while not speaking more than 2 words of Japanese and getting little help from his assistants.

Plus the hysterical dessert challenge, the challenger born into a Japanese confectionary family who discovers CREAM at age 18 and heads for Paris! :D

WOW that was a good 24 hours.

Hungry still
