I have recently been thinking about getting a tattoo. I have been looking at a number of Japanese/Kanji characters on the net and have found one I like. According to the site it's translation was fighting spirit however when I went to look up the characters for FIGHTING SPIRIT in a Japanese/English online dictionary they were different. Can someone help me clarify this? The characters I am referring to are on the opening page of artist Eri Takase's website.

http://www.takase.com.

I know some symbols have more meanings in Japanese than most English words do so I was hoping someone here could translate them for me.

Cheers
Sammy

Sammy,
be sure to go to Dynamic Tatto if possible and see Trevor Mcstay. I have been tattooing for 13 years and have known Trevor for some time and he is awesome.I am also sure he can help you with your Kanji.

Sammy,

Those kanji mean "tou (tataku)" which means soul or spirit, and "kon (tamashi)" which means to fight.
