Dear E-Budoka,
I've understood that most of the Asayama Ichiden ryū practiced today comes either from Naganuma Tsuneyuki or Sakai Uichirō, both who were students of Ōkura Naoyuki.
I've witnessed two separate enbu of Asayama Ichiden ryū, once at the Meiji Jingū Kobudō Taikai in 2003 and once at the Asakusa Riverside Sport Center Kobudō Taikai last year. I got the feeling that these two were of separate lineages, but could someone more knowledgeable person confirm this. Or even better, name the lineages, if in fact they are different.
