Hi, first post.
Yes, i asked one of my instructors first and he wasn't sure.
My question, what does a nagimaki (kukishinden specifically) look like. I read somewhere that nagimaki means 'long wrapped' in japanese leading to the conclusion that a nagimaki looks something like this
http://www.todoespadas.com/images/Huanuo/Naginata.jpg.
However i read somewhere else that a nagimaki was a shortened version of the naginata and from my knowledge naginata have laquered wooden shafts. So is the nagimaki just a blade on an oval shaped hanbo length shaft?
Does anyone have any knowledge about the nagimaki?
Sincerely,
Richard Prince
