Hi all,

ANy judo in the US Army?

Yes, just like there's karate, BJJ, TKD and a host of other styles. It all depends where you're stationed.
Now if you're asking if the Army as a whole does Judo their combative has Judo techniques integrated into it, but so does it have other arts as well.

Hi,
In WWI the Army utilized Captain Allan Corstorphin Smith as a 'Jiujitsu' Instructor at Camp Benning Georgia. Smith was the 5th non-Asian to earn a Shodan at the Kodokan. His process took about 9 years and he went on to build a career out of that Shodan. Not bad for a Scotsman, who went to Japan, and then relocated to the US. He lived here for the remainder of his life and died in 1962, with the rank of Major in US Army Reserves. He is buried on Long Island, in New York State.
