Pat Butler (UK Judoka)

Hi Guys

Does anyone have any biographical information on an old British Judoka
called "Pat Butler"? He put out a number of books in the 1960's such as:

Judo complete
Judo for Juniors
Self Defence Complete
Advanced Judo And Self-Defence
Self Defence for Women

Wondering what his background etc was - military, police, teachers etc.

I have some of his books. I recall seeing an article about him in Fighting Arts some years ago. I believe he founded the Amateur Judo Association. The AJA still exists, I imagine they would know more about him.
