To the E-Budo Members:

I hope you can provide us with some light on the subject.

My sensei, Rogelio Ortega, studied for a long time under the tutelage of Sensei Ozamu Ozawa. We are trying to decorate the Dojo now, and we would like to use the ten flags of the Takeda Clan. Sensei Ozawa was a direct descendent of the Clan Takeda, and we think it is a fine way to honor his knowledge and heritage.

Does anybody have any idea where we can get pictures of these flags? We are writting from Panama, and Japanese sources are hard to come by.

Thanks a lot for helping out!

For potential English language sources, try books by Stephen Turnbull. For example:

Joseph Svinth San,

Thanks a lot for your reply. Well, I have a lot of homework to do! Sensei Ortega will be happy.

Once again, thanks a lot for your help.

Joe's got it right. I believe it is in Samurai Warlords, but if not, then it will be in Turnbull's latest -The Samurai Sourcebook. I know I have seen what you are looking for in one or both of these.

Thanks a lot to all those who provided information on the flags of the Takeda clan. I now have more flags than wall space in our Dojo!
