I've seen it in a few book and movie titles, but can't find it in my kanji finder, unless it has another reading? Ninja Bugei Cho 忍者武芸帖 (as in the movie Momochi Sandayu) is the kanji. Anyone?

Ah, so in this context is it like "record" or "tale"?

Ah, so in this context is it like "record" or "tale"?More like "accounts" or "chronicles". "Cho" were essentially compilations of information, be that numerical accounts, or descriptive accounts of history or legend.
