Found this a little late, so will announce the passing of one of our Judo kings of the past, Jerry Reid. Jerry passed away July 2010:

His bio can be found on the Net, but I knew him for years and took over his Judo club at Carswell AFB, Texas after he retired in 1967. He was one of the first SAC Judo people to compete in the early 1950’s.
