Hello, All!

I heard that Ueshiba Kaiso's Aikijo or Saito Sensei's Aikijo has had no connection with any type of Jojutsu but was instead derived from Ueshiba Morihei O's training in jukenjutsu, when he was in the Army.
Does anyone knows anything about that?

Nothing apart from Stanley Pranin's stuff. I will mention though that all the Jodo people say it looks very different. While there is a passing resemblance to British quarterstaff work. Something that seems to suggest the european roots of Jukendo Which I recall was based on french training manuals.

However I would like to see some comment from someone who knows the sharp end of a juken.

I have read at Koryu.com that Kashima Shinto Ryu had the biggest influence on the Aikiken and Aikijo as this ryu teaches both of these as well as 10 other jutsu.
