About Shihan Iida:
Shihan Iida studied directly under Horikawa Kodo in Kitima, Japan. Finally, after many years of training he was awarded the rank and title of Shihan under Horikawa Kodo’s association called the Kodo Kai.

After receiving his Shihan ranking he finally decided to break form the Kodo Kai and start his own association which he named the Daitoryu Aiki Goshin Jutsu Muden Juku. He did this because he did not wanted hold back any of the teaching of Aiki as some the remaining Shihan’s of the Kodo Kai wanted too due. Therefore, the founded he own association dedicated to teaching all of the art of aiki to anyone who truly wishes to learn the true art.

Horikawa Kodo received the transmission of Takeda Sokaku’s “Eternal Aiki” over many years of practice and transmitted this principle to his own students. It is this principle that Hiroo Iida wishes to transmit to his students in Muden Juku.
This principle has been transmitted directly from Sokaku to Horikawa to Iida, undiluted and authentic.

We who follow the bujutsu of Aiki are follower of a path cleared by our predecessor’s unceasing efforts, day and night. From Yubetsu to Shirataki, Engaru and beyond so that Hokkaido may truly be referred to as “The birthplace of Aiki”.

We resolve:
To pass on the pure Aiki that we receive undiluted.
To follow its path without deviation.
To develop it without compromise.

This is the invisible thread that links each practitioner on the way of “Eternal Aiki.”
