I'm located in south central Nebraska. I'm interested in learning iaido, but cannot find instruction anywhere.

I have no martial arts experience. Well, a few months of Tae Kwon Do in junior high. That was more than a few years ago!

I hope to learn some history on here and make some friends. Thanks!

Many get their Budo fix by travel to SEMINARS. Scott Tullis brings in students from all around for a three hour, Saturday afternoon, mini seminar for my monthly visits; 3 hours one way. I'm about ready for my 1st kyu test with seitei iai. I got my rank with Sugawara by weekend trips to Madison WI and Napa CA and hosting some weekends at Cape Girardeau MO. Find a way...then the rest is working out details.

More advice; hope it is helpful. Many big names tour through the U.S. annually or more. That is a place to hook into your interests too. Often you can go home and start a study group ... Then onward.

Did you live in Cape Girardeau? If so, I lived 45 minutes from you. I lived in Gorham, IL 2000 - 2006.

Nearly 25 years at SEMO. It truly is a small world.

Indeed it is. I lived in the country near Gorham while attending SIU at Carbondale. Visited Cape a lot, and always enjoyed it.
