Can anyone here recommend a good brand of green tea? I'm looking for high antioxidant potency and good taste. I've been drinking the standard grocery store fare but I'm sure there is better quality elsewhere as is always the case :)
Thank you.

This is the Stash Tea site. Stash is owned by Yamamotoyama tea Co, which produces green teas of good quality. Reasonably priced as well.

Speaking of green tea, anyone have a good line on a good powdered green tea? I found some, but it had sugar pre-mixed.

Jo matcha is available from these guys. I think the price is a little high, but the quality is good.

Doug, the Uwajimaya over in Beaverton should have it as well, the one here in Seattle has a couple different brands. You are going to be up here anyway next week so if Beaverton don't have it, we are going to be in the area with Bluming anyway and it's no problem to swing in.

Yeah, at the Uwajimaya there are so many teas I get dazed. Might just have picked up the wrong bag (w/sugar).

You should eat more sausage pizza from Chicago and drink more whisky. Only then will you feel the true power of ki and become enlightened. If not enlightened, the more rooted anyway.

I am thinking you wish to bring me to enlightenment as I make obeisance to the porcelain god.

I quite enjoy the gyokuro that Tealuxe has, it is a Boston-based chain of tea-places. You can order online though http://www.tealuxe.com
It is kind of on the expensive side, but it is damn good. -

I like the green teas offered by Republic Of Tea. They have a nice genmaicha and some decent green tea combos...apple blossom and green tea....and cherry blossom green tea.

Happy sipping

On the question of tea...and a bit off topic. Does anyone know where I can get a good mugicha or a good sobacha?

Hi, Sean,
If it is good "antioxident potency" you really want, order your favorite green tea and stock up on food supplements. There are tons of antioxident supplements on the market many most don't use yet, so go of to a good health store or a "jock supermarket (the prices are higher, but then with whom would you rather mix?)"

Mark

BTW: Stash makes a great Tea, but for the supermarket, Celestial Seasonings or Bigalow (if you like the caffeine jolt) are pretty good as green teas go.

That's right! Not only more rooted but more centered - lot's more! At least I know MY center is growing from the stuff! :D

Robert,

Ttry eating more of the corned beef hash your son likes. It really will add to center. Geez, I must be getting old, I have to think about eating stuff like this and how it will affect my health.

As to where to get mugicha

And for sobacha

As to Stash teas, any parent company with Yamamoto in the name deserves my support. Coconut Pocky, mmm! I wonder how they would taste with Scotch.
