How to search/query forums?

For example: I want search on the word "breaking"....

The search feature has a bug in it. I will try and fix it with a software update this weekend.

I have a general question about software.

In another aikido forum I have noticed that it is much better to access and move around in the forum using a particular type of Software, in this case Microsoft Internet Explorer. If I use Netscape 4.7 or Netscape 6, problems inevitably arise.

However, with E-budo.com there are certin things I cannot do with Internet Explorer. As Administrator, do you recommend using E-budo.com with a particular type of OS software? (I live in Japan, by the way, and have to use Japanese-language software.)
