I will be moving to the Boston area (from Japan) in a few months and am looking for a good, qualified, jo teacher. I practice aiki-jo right now under Nishio Sensei. Can anyone give me any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Nishio Sensei teaches his own system of aikijo. This is a jodo (or, if you prefer, jojutsu) forum, dealing with koryu stick arts. There's a world of difference. Also, there's nobody in the Boston area, to the best of my knowledge, who can help you with classical stick training. Why don't you visit some of the aikido dojo in the area? I know there are a lot of teachers; perhaps you'll find one to your taste and that fits your training needs.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. I realize that Nishio's aikijo is different from the koryu forms; I was asking about jodo teachers not aikijo teachers. Do you know of anyone in a 2 hour radius of the area?
Thanks,
