I just did a web search to find out more about this, but it came up blank. The author claims that this is a Japanese Jujutsu ryuha, but I have never heard of it.

Here is a reply I got from the fellow who runs the websight. Anyone ever heard of this art in Japan?

as for the history of the Ryuha...I am discovering
that my translations (previously) were poor at best.

I'm trying hard to go back over them (largely from
memory)

My Sensei Tanaka Myshio (if I am correct in the
surname being first in the Japanese form) came here
from Japan shortly after WW2 when I met him in 1983
he was 89....and I asked him to teach me. Maybe
we;ll get into specifics on that another time. It's
kind of funny looking back at it.

He only taught small groups and never charged more
than needed (generally nothing) I have found many
similarities in techniques within the kihon happo of
the bujinkan.

Back in 96 he and his grandson were killed in a car
accident along with all the scrolls and notes. So I
have absolutely nothing to prove my claim. But to
honor his memory I refuse to allow the Ryu to die out
if I can help it. altho technically it will never be
complete since I am only Shodan.

WELL, John, this seems to be about as mysterious as the following which I found was the first and foremost reason for grading/promotions, etc.

*Must be and remain current on fees

While I don't doubt his teacher no longer exists, one might search the SSA Death Index Master File to see if he is telling the truth.

I would ask in the ninpo threads if you haven't all ready done so.

You know, Oni, etc.?
