It is with envy I have read the good sayings at the end of most peoples postings.

I have been wanting to find one of my own, I have tried to find something philisophical but to no avail.

Today I saw a 'T' shirt with what I was looking for.
It sums me up a treat.

Stephen,
That's what my ex said as she went out the door:D

My favorite is one attributed to Jigoro Kano, and does sort of say something similar.

"Learn from the mistakes of others. You may not live long enough to make them all yourself."

Geez, there is never enough time.

:D I like that one Mark.
My favourite is one I saw in a Kendo book 20 years ago.
I have lived my life by it.

To ask is but a moments shame - but not to ask and remain ignorant is a lifelong shame.

I can not remember who said it.

"I am what I am."-Popeye and Martin Burber

"Tell Frazier he's still a gorilla"-Muhammed Ali just recently when he learned Joe Frazier didn't accept his apology for calling him a gorilla (and the fight between his daughter and Frazier's daughter upcoming this month).

It's Martin Buber, not Burber. Picky, I know, but hard to find books or websites devoted to his philosophy without the correct spelling. Speaking of that, try http://www.buber.de/en/ .

"I'm gonna makem an offer he can't refuse"
Marlon Brando in the Godfather

I don't think Brando actually says that in the movie.

Although there are a lot of classic lines.

But some of my favorite come from "Big Trouble in Little China"

"If I'm not back by dawn, call the President"
"It's all in the reflexes"

One that might actually work as a tagline -
"Have I paid my dues? The check is in the mail"

This was one of the guys my father used to train with in the navy... A week after surgery on both his knees to repair ligament damage, he's back at the club with his gi on crawling along the mat. Everyone gives this man an incredulous, supefied, slack jawed, wide eyed gaze to which he replies "It's ok, I'll just do ne waza!"
