as to the kamidana, if it has one, or if it doesn't, is bowing before entering considered bowing to the kamidana. Does yours contain only a photo of Jigoro Kano or is it the whole ball o' wax?

I'm asking partly because of a thread in the Shinto forum, and also, because most judo dojo and judoka themselves are usually not that conservative, in my experience, anyway.

Is there a mixture of political icons, such as a flag[s], and one a shinto practice?

I also was reviewing a video of all Kodokan kata, and it was a good one, even taping a lunch break mainly of noodles. Lots of "outsiders" there, too.

The Goshin jutsu was priceless, as the attacker with the gun actually appeared to be yelling "stickem a upa." Laughter definitely came from the gaijin at this, and it was pretty funny. Actually, I've viewed this tape many times and never noticed that before.

SO, how do YOU do it in your club?
