Hi everyone,

As you may well know the Judo World Matsres tournament is being held in the USA over the next few days.

I have several very good friends (from my club etc.) taking part in the tournament and they could do with some friendly support.

They are Paul Sawyer, George Wood, Martin Clark and Joyce Malley. So if any of you are going watch out for them and cheer them on.

Whilst on the subject of master/vetran tournaments - Do you think they are a good idea.
I for one think that they can give the more mature Judoka something to aim for.
I have seen the renewed enjoyment that our competitors have had since they have been training for this event.
That enjoyment has spread amongst the club and training has been the best atmosphere I have known for a long while.

Go and support the Masters, you are in for a treat, the Judo is of a good standard, the skill level is very high although it may be just a little slower than it used to be.
