This is for the serious Japanophiles.
Today, is the Day(25th/July) when all Japanese are supposed to be eating Eel(Unagi).
The reason for this to beat the Heat & Humidity of the Summer. It is the common belief, that by eating an Unagi-Don at a certain time you can get the needed energies to survive the Heat until the end of the summer.
The Eel is normally marinated and grilled and served over a bed of white rice, while the Miso Soup has the Eel innards to it.
There is of course also a counter for the Winters Cold which involves taking a Bath with certain fruits added in and eating the same Fruit.
So for the Guys in Japan, see if you can get a place at an Unagi-Restaurant tonight and munch down on the Una-Don for the sake of your Health.
BTW, Japan is having one of it's hottest & driest Summers ever. Tokyo recorded yesterday Heats of nearly 40 Celsius and Humidity stand at over 80%.
Night time lows are a balmy 28 Degree.
