This is a great little video! The monkey is better than some human black belts I have seen :). Anyone know the story behind this flick?

Actually, I saw a show on this.

A couple that rescues abandoned primates(I believe they're Canadian) were refered to this chimp as a baby. I don't remember it's name, but anyway, the guy was a karate instr, and took the chimp with him to classes. Later he found the chimp imitating the students by hitting and kicking the heavy bags and wondered "Could I possibly teach a chimp Karate!?!"

Well, you see the result.

From what I saw, the chimp was 17yrs old, and had been given an honorary shodan. He could use that jumping spin kick to kick and apple out of your hand, or break a board. He even did some minor kata.
Plus, he grabbed both of his uke's hands and then used his feet to choke the guy out! It was great!
