Can anyone reccomend an "all-around" gi?

Something heavy enough to withstand grappling, but not too heavy.

I never had to buy a full gi when I studied Shorin-ryu and now I'm starting jujutsu, and I want to buy something that will last for a decent amount of time.

Aloha and mahalo,

Buy a Judo Gi.

It'll last forever.

why not check with your teacher? in some cases every student is expected to wear the same style of training uniform, so you wouldn't want to waste your money on gear that you won't be allowed to use. and while a judogi will be very strong and long-wearing (especially good quality, two-ply suckers from a reputable manufacturer such as Mizuno or Mitsuboshi), their dimensions may not be perfect for other martial arts, e.g. regulation-length judogi sleeves are too long for aikido (not that you can't just roll them up, but...). i'd recommend asking your teacher and senior students at the dojo, shopping around a bit, and make a final decision based on that info.
