Hi folks,
I am looking for a practice Yari, wood or metal. Does anyone have any good sources? Thanks

This Yari has a overall length of 197 cm. It can be taking apart in three sections.

We are able to provide a variety of Yari. However the problem with them is their length. They require a special courier service, which is very expensive. That is why we offer this one as a reasonable priced alternative (it proved to be quiet popular). For "weapon against weapon" we defnitly recommend a one piece yari. There are several sources in the US, that provide good quality wooden training yari, also Bugei offers a nice Yari (which is I think in the $700-800 range). I hope this helps.

Thanks Mark, sorry it took so long for my reply. That is what I am looking for - simple, not ugly touristy stuff. I have a friend fitting a Kris Cutlery blade for me now so I will see how that turns out.

Mr. Brecht -

How about Naginata? Do you have one such as the quality of this yari in that price range as well?

They have a very nice yari for sale as well. You should check it out. If you have the money they can also make custom yari or naginata for you.
