Hello all,
I have been training in various martial arts now for almost 15 years and have never had any problems with my stretching (or legs actually) However recently I have been in considerable pain when I try to perform front SokuYaku Kicks (Thrust kicks)
The muscle may have been pulled and I did find out the name but cannot remember it offhand now... There are two muscles behind the 3 main Quadriceps, one stretching from the hip down to the knee and the other one.. a shorter muscle connecting the hip to the top of the Leg..This is the one in pain!)
I was wondering if anyone could recommend any stretches for that specific area or any routine that I could follow to alleviate the pain.. As I said, it only occurs occasionally in some kicks and is generally not felt at all but when it is it seriously hurts me!
Shold I get it checked out? I live for my training and am determined not to be stopped by it..But that may be the problem!!
Any help appreciated!
Abayo.
