Dear Ki-Aikido people,
Can anyone tell me why Tohei Sensei grades differently in Ki-Aikido and in Ki Development? He uses a dan/kyu system for his taijutsu and a different system (SHODEN/CHUDEN/OKUDEN) for Ki-Development.
Reasons, origins, meaning...

Ubaldo,
Did you read William Rand's article about the levels of Ki testing on Aiki Web? http://www.aikiweb.com/spiritual/reed2.html It might give you a little more info.

Is there a separate fee for testing in Ki-development or not ?

In general, this is a good question. Perhaps the question should be asked without Tohei being mentioned specifically, but in general of each dojo?
