Hello,
I was reading this book (Bokken by Dave Lowry Sensei.. An excellent warmer to Kenjutsu/Kendo) a couple of days ago and got to thinking about exactly which techniques Lowry Sensei uses in the book..Perhaps this question belongs in the Koryu section but if anyone here has found out the answer to this puzzle I would love to know.
I recognized 'elements' of Kendo in there but the 'Kumitachi' sections used patterns that I think I have seen performed as Yagyu Shinkage Ryu waza..If anyone has the answer..or perhaps could ask Lowry Sensei to reply?
My thanks.
Ben.

Mr. Lowry is indeed a practitioner of Yagyu Shinkage Ryu. In fact, I think that the foreword of that particular book mentions this fact (don't have it handy to see). He might recite his lineage if you asked him nicely enough, but you should better ask for that in the koryu area instead.
