Hello fellow e-budo members,
I'm wondering about different words related to budô when talking about doing it. I.e. what verbs would you use for practising and training? Is "keiko suru" a proper way to tell someone for example "yesterday I practised iaidô from two to four" ("kinô niji kara yonji made iaidô o keiko shimashita" I hope that this sentence is otherwise at least close of being correct..)?
How about if generally talking about training some budô, like "I practise iaidô" ("iaidô shimasu"?)?
How about if I want to emphasize several intensive years of proper studying some ryû for example, including besides techical training the learning of school's startegy, history, etc. I mean what I would in English call "studying of a ryû" instead of "practising to use a sword". I've got a gut feeling that benkyô suru isn't suitable here, but ofcourse my gut might be wrong :)
I hope you understand what I am trying to say here.. English is not my native language any more than Japanese :)
Thank you in advance!
