The swordsmanship class at the Itten Dojo (www.ittendojo.org), located a few miles northwest of Harrisburg, trains under the guidance of Meik Skoss and focuses primarily on toho -- a "generic" form of swordsmanship derived from the Nippon Kendo Kata -- and iaido. Through Mr. and Mrs. Skoss and their Shutokukan Dojo (www.shutokukan.org), members of our dojo can apply to train in Shinto Muso-ryu jojutsu, which includes substantial emphasis on swordsmanship, and a few of our people commute to New York City to train in Yagyu Shinkage-ryu kenjutsu.

There is also a kendo class in Harrisburg led by Reiun Dy Kim and Dan Popp at the Seizan Dojo. They can be contacted at seizan@prodigy.com (assuming the web site I checked is up to date). Mr. Kim has been practicing kendo since early childhood, and is singularly impressive.
