View Full Version : OT: Son of Aiki (wink, wink)
Posted by Nathan Scott:
“Anyway, does anyone wish to pick up on the original subject at hand here? Something about the differences in usage of the term aiki, and how it differs or is similar to how it curently is or may have been used in some kenjutsu styles, I think.”
Sure, I’ll take a stab at it! :)
A long time ago.......
In the olden samurai days, Doug SkyWalker would have executed Jabba “the poopie” with a aiki bite sabre thrust in the mouth, forever ending the perpetual verbal pollution of the budo/jedi universe. Hooray!
The rebel alliance would then have marveled that Doug SkyWalkers mastery and understanding of aiki bite sabre ryu had allowed him to experience the “force” of enlightenment via the knowledge wormcrawl. He would next have used the aiki-kiai to (politely) enlighten the vacuum of intelligence in the star system Abarishi so that historical reality and the perception of such by the profoundly deluded would again become one with the universe. Ohhh Ahhh
Next, when confronted by, the big bad “real” warrior, Doug Skywalker (in this aiki enlightened state) even the most ignorant know it all skeptic, Onree (the Cawillian) would have received the epiphany of a golden shower of uric realization and..then needed a real shower.
Then the Jihad of the aiki messiah would begin and Richio, Kneely, Nathany, Toblio, Bumbly and Markus would all be realized as equal parts of the great aiki messiah (intern) and forever ridicule those outside the circle of silliness!
Today.......
Doug Walker would just laugh and drop a two ton toon brick on P.J. Popie’s head with the help of Roger Rabbit. Since P.J. Popie is a fictitious toon , it would work and the silence would be golden! Hooray!
And this from me... to all us thin skinned intern aiki wannabees.... And for our true aiki masters of masters
Larry, Moe & Curly....and...well...I always liked Shemp too!

THEY KILLED UNCLE OWEN!!! :x
my only ryu is the one running down my pant leg - j’accuse Toby
Is it just me or is the term aiki an unfortunate one? Sometimes I think it should be reserved for use in the name of arts only as a poetic concept like willow. If we dropped the term aiki what would we call all of those techniques? Would that change our understanding of the phenomena clustered now under the term aiki? What would we find?

What about Curly Joe?

Creates quite a picture in your minds eye doesn't it?

Here I go overstepping boundaries, and sticking in the large nasal appendage, but could we not apply this in reverse (ie to you, Popie)?
Be well,

Wow, I step away to run an errand...
I've already emailed Mr. Threadgill regarding his post, and it would appear the he was in fact simply posessed by Mr. Yamamoto temporarily. These kinds of things happen sometimes, and I'm confident he'll recover.
We've all had a laugh and chance to rebut, so lets move back on topic a bit and take further chit chat and personal offenses to the lounge! :)
Mr. Popie, if you would like to discuss these posts with the posters further, please consider emailing them directly. If you feel this thread is truly offensive or embarrassing, I will have it removed - though I have to admit I don't think Mr. Threadgill was really trying to flame you here as much as lighten the atmosphere.
Regards,
Neil Yamamoto

Toby and Nathan and all concerned,
I would like to apologize for possessing Toby today. I was aiming for Henry Walker, but I felt a disturbance in the force which caused me to take over Toby by accident.
As I broadcast my force to Henry, it was as if I was attacked by an overwhelming force which brandished two butter knives and could not by stopped by any power which I could summon. Toby, do you think your lovely wife had anything to do with this? I won't mention her name since this might disturb the force again. Since I am currently possessing a small cockroach in the SW United States and am trying to get him to walk underneath someone's foot in the Texaco station bathroom so he won't post on e-budo any more I can't take a chance of doing it wrong.
Oh well, see you later.

Toby-san,
I bow in deep respect. I don't care what anyone says or how I may have disagreed with you before on various minutiae, you have got IT. And you may have redefined it for me.
Take note folks, that post may have been the first ever public demonstration authentic Shinden Takemusu Yamamoto-ha Aiki at it's very finest.

Yeah Nathan, The Tobsters post is a classic and if ever there is an E-budo Hall of Fame section I imagine that one will be in there. I also think Toby might have the record for starting a thread and having it locked the fastest. Not sure but the one on Bad Budo sure got locked out quick, only about 1 1/2 days. :)

Mr. or Mrs. Popie (not sure which since you hide your name),
In the members lounge forum you stated that you were leaving e-budo but here you are posting again and you still won't follow a simple rule. Are you going to follow your word and stop posting? You talk about being rude look at each of your over 500 posts, you have totally ignored Mr. Lindsey's simple request to use your real and full name. Not a big deal but you have been flipping him the bird since you got here.

And John has allowed this, too. Let's be equal and reactive here. If it is an insult to John, he may like the attention we give it. "Ignore him" is the better part of valor.:D
Popie, no matter what you are going to call yourself, sign, something.

Hmm,
I have been gone for a week and come back to all kinds of interesting happenings here.
Well, Popie has requested that I remove him from our membership, and I will honor his request right now.

John - Praise the lord.
Thank you so much for your compassion and wisdom. I know I speak for all of e-budo land.
Let's get back to business now, shall we?
