What kind of an effect does cold temperature (especially below freezing) have on zinc-beryllium alloy blades? Can it withstand the stress of regular Iai or does it snap?
I live in a cold country, it's the middle of the winter (-13 Celsius and a cold breeze a the moment), the dojo is closed for the holidays and the ceiling isn't high enough for standing Iai. Withdrawal syndromes kick in, and bling, I'm here No nut is going to train in that weather, but I'm interested to know if Iaitos can take the strain in cold as well.
