Does anyone on this thread study the art of goju ryu. I am refering basicly to the jundokan just curius to what order your katas go in I learned the goju ryu kata as
1.geki sai dai itchi
2.geki sai dai ni
3.sanchin dai itchi
4.saifa
5.siyunchin
6.sanchin dai ni
7.sanseru
8.sepai
9.kururunfa
10.sesan
11.suparempie
12.tensho
yours in goju ryu

FYI Briggs is scotish that means Bridge Guardian. I am like the troll in fairy tales.
Does anyone know if the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Jundokan will be canceled because of the SARS. If so, then it is a dear shame

Gentlemen a bit of understanding from fellow martial artist shall we. May I ask if anyone has a specific goju ryu kata that they enjoy over all others and can you also tell me why your choice is your favorite kata. Briggs I know your sepai.

My question remains the same as Briggs does anyone have updates on the 50 th anniversry of the jundokan it is said that many of the top names would be there.

I would rather not get into that right now but we train in the Yudansha Kobu jitsu Karate doh federation YKKF that Shihan Yamanaka founded I do not wish to go into specific details at this time

Very nice to meet a fellow goju ryu karateka. DO you have a favorite goju ryu kata wether it is a mudansha or yudansha kata does not matter. I personally would have to say that my favorite kata are
mudansha- saifa
Yudansha- sesan

The memorial should be well attended with student from around the world and has not been cancelled.
