Sub discipline's and climbing?

Does anyone know if there was ever any type of formalized teachings for climbing in the old Bujutsu?

I'm not sure about any details, but I think that I have read a part of an article about Tatsumi ryu, mentioning methods for climbing, nightfighting, scouting etc.

As this is an overlooked part of Japanese warfare (or at least not that often discussed) I'm also very interested if anyone knows any details about such training.
Atleast there are documents covering just about all aspects of warfare... from campinglife to equipment maintenance, medicine, strategy and fighting techniques. How some of those parts where taught (climbing, for instance)would be interesting to hear about.
