Best way to wash Do-Gi ?

Ok just got a brand new addidas elite Do-gi (happy Kampatsu?)
and its 100% cotton. The label has the symbols on it that say it can be ironed, it also has a little picture of a bowl of water which says "30 degrees" under it. I dont realy wash many cloths so i dont have a clue what this is but im guessing it means i can hand wash it in water up to 30 degree.
I dont think i can wash it in the washing machine but i dont know why.
In a way the Gi is a little too big and i would mind it shrinking a bit, whats the best way to do this?

I would appreciate any advice on how people wash there Do-gi and whether they hand wash them or bung em in the washing machine.

Mine goes in the washing machine, on its own or with another dogi.
Never put it in with anything else.

It gets a HOT wash, but then I do sweat a lot, and rolling on the floor sort of "grinds in" the dirt.......

Never tumble dry, just spin dry in the machine, then hang it out (damp), Never iron it.
A day or two later... ready to wear.

I wash mine in cold water with detergent but no bleach...but then mine only get sweaty and never very dirty.

Hot or warm water will make your gi shrink a bit...drying it in a hot dryer will make it shrink quite a bit, maybe 10% or more. Mine was too big...now it's not, so tumble drying is okay, but sometimes I let it air dry too [humidity is low where I live]. I never iron mine, and it took about two years of regular use and washing every week or two for it to soften up.

I always wash it at 60 degrees celcius with detergent. After that it goes into the tumble dryer..

60 degrees celcius should be no problem... it will only shrink a bit in the first wash (if it's a good dogi). The tumble drying will shorten the life of your dogi, but for me there is no other option.

I've got three and train more then 3 times a week.... so I need it dry quickly...

And a short reminder..... please don't forget to wash your belts...
