Hi, all. Somewhere online, I think it was here, are photos of sword injuries. I think they may even be of the incident in which a Western party riding in Japan failed to properly yield to a procession and were cut down or injured. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I've tried searching here at e-budo and can't find them or reference to them.

As I recall (and my memory ain't what it used to be), the incident you describe was late Tokugawa or early Meiji.

I recall the thread, but don't remember if the original post was about the photos or if that was a follow-up, so I don't know where to search.

I've been here since September 2003, and there've been a lot of threads since then, so it'll be like finding a needle in a haystack. Hopefully whomever posted the photo will read this.

If not, maybe in a few days start a new thread titled "Sword Wound Photos?" That may get the desired response.

Thanks, guys. I think they may have been photos John Lindsey scanned from a book and posted.

There was a pretty graphic thread at Bugei.com from a ways back. Anybody remember that one?
