David,
I believe it is the Redlands Fencing Center. I don't really know much about them. From what I can tell, while they appear to be affiliated with the All U.S. Kendo Federation, it appears that their primary emphasis is western fencing.
Here is a URL to their website:

I don't know exactly what you are looking for, but there is at least one excellent aikido dojo in Oklahoma City. They do some weapons work, to augment their aikido practice. Feel free to PM me if you want.
Good luck,
Chris

I can't tell anything from their website. You might have better luck posting your question on the kendo world forums.
As far as attending an Aikido school for the swordwork - not a high percentage move. I'd check out Redlands first.

Ahhh, you do know that quite a few aikido schools host instructors from classical sword styles...right? I can think of three that I've been to without any trouble at all...two in this area. In case you're interested, I believe the styles in question would be MJER and YSR. In fact, some of our illustrious posters are connected to aikido schools in a teaching capacity.
Just don't want people to think all aikido schools are in the same category. But I must also admit I'd look closely myself before making an opinion...

Didn't say it was impossible. Just rare.

I agree that if David is looking for traditional JSA, then an aikido school would not be a good fit. (While the organization I referred to does have some students that also practice TSKSR, I don't think that it is actually taught at this school). But, that's why I qualified my post by saying I was not sure what exactly he was looking for.
From David's profile, though, it says his interest is in iaido.
Probably his next best bet would be to drive a couple of hours south to Denton, TX.

I'd 2nd and third that motion, and I know from where I speak--I drive six hours to train under John Ray sensei there in Denton. As far as iaido goes, you can't go wrong with him.

A little birdie tells me that starting next September there will be a MJER Seitokai Yondan moving to the OKC/Norman area. No details yet on where/if teaching is on the agenda, but enthusiasm does wonders to encourage. PM if interested and I'll inquire.

Since you seem to be missing it, I'll just remind you that you don't have to come to Denton for Iai, because as Jack mentioned, in the not too distant future, Iai will be coming to you.

That would be Susan.....she is talking about it if she can find a descent dojo in Norman to sponsor her. I told her to hurry up I want to be her first student....LOL
If you want to know about Redlands email Bryan Boone bryanboone@mac.com He is the beginner instructor...he teaches on Mon and Wed 6-7:30, he is a shodan. Bryan Mosley is the intermediate instructor..he is a sandan., and teaches on Tues and Thur And on Saturdays....there is the head instructor who I have only met once. Since I also do Aikido and Jyodo, I have yet to get to a Sat class...though they highly encourage you to come. I know his name but for the life of me can't spell it. Habe...with the H being silent...that's as close as I can get.
