I was going to start classes at this dojo a month or two ago, but couldn't get the time to. Now I've freed up my Fridays and am wondering if anyone has any information on it?
Is James Yan a reputable teacher?

Shidogakuin DC is a fine place to train, nice group of people. I wouldn't worry.

Yes. He may be the most senior instructor in the DC Metro area too.

Is Shinya Deguchi still training in DC? He was at Shidogakuin last time I visited and I think he was also running a club at GW. He's a Japanese import, really nice kendo, very quick.

Thanks :)
I'mreally looking forward to this, only it's a shame the next classes don't begin until July 14th.
