Right, so tell us what you lot have been up to since this greatly loved BB has been away on holiday?
what boards did you prople use? Or what have you done in the mean time as a substitute for the lack of posting on here?
Tell us. And if they are funny, tell us in every detail.

I've got one pretty good story involving an ice-cream scoop, a ribbed condom, and my cute little chinese chief resident being called down to the trauma bay because she had the smallest hands of anyone on the team, but other than that it's all been rooting around in other people's intestines.

Y'all missed my birthday on the 22nd!
Because of that I've had plenty of books to read. I'll get to that later in one of my previous threads. I've also been working my butt off. Y'all will probably say that I'm weak or something, but getting up to go to work at 7 four days a week has been killing me.

David, that must have been some serious partying... I caught Kimpatsu on at least three or four grammatical errors during the E-Budo downtime... all of which he blamed on hangovers!
Me, I just wandered from board to bored and back again.
AsianMartialArts, MartialTalk.com, MartialArtsPlanet, Kung Fu Magazine, Budoseek!... you name it, I went there...
I should have been training but... :(

Hehe...yeah, Tony had apparently discarded the concept of pacing oneself and steadily working up to a full-fledged piss-up. He sort of just "floored it" right off the line :D
Oh, yeah, also spent a couple days at Iwo Jima.

I ended up on budoseek and managed to get myself in a nasty flame war right off the bat. Not very subtle on my part. I found that the general political tone over there was a little different......oops.
Oh how sweet is is to be back!

-sprained my big toe in the first 15 minutes of the first day of a weekend bouldering in france.

Thoust sufferest from whatist? Thou has blasphemed upon a word I do not knowest.
Me. Well I spent time on AMA and spent 2 weeks winding up Kimpatsu over the correct useage of the word Gi/Dogi, and ended up modding the ninpo section. Found martialtalk and posted on there. Budoseek is now feeling my presence (less said the better about that sort of activity). Trained ETC.

Go read martialtalk and it's ninjutsu forum :p Once again when sojobow sees that he isn't treated as a ninja guru, he goes away, so I started a thread about where he will go next (that thread got locked pretty quickly though) and surprise suprise, it was budoseek! As mentioned in "Yay! We're back" I bought a Suzuki Burgman AN650K3 scooter, and when the weather wasn't nice enough to be out riding (only a few days last month) I was hanging out on the BurgmanUSA.Com forum.
Took a two day ride from Everett (Seattle area) over the Cascade Mountains via Stevens Pass to Spokane -- 297 miles each way, and a one day trip to Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park as the token scooter-boy in a group of 7 Harleys, Victorys, Magnas, etc.
Broke 100MPH once while over in eastern Washington, just to see if I could do it; and accepted (and won) a "stop light challenge" here at home by a kid in a Dodge Ram p/u with a Hemi. When I beat him to the next light by a considerable margin he took off without paying the bet.
Other than that I've been a good boy.

I thought my computer was the reason I couldn't get e-budo, and adjusted so many settings that it's taken me ages to get the damn thing working again!
I did pass my motorcycle test though which was cool, and went on a pressure point course by Rick Clarke, which was also cool.
Intensive motorcycle training out on the mad British roads is the equivalent of learning martial arts in the middle of a pitched Sengoku Jidai battle by the way, trying to learn whilst being shouted at a lot, and everyone seems to be trying to kill you!

FYI, I read in a thread on AMA (which I can't access at the moment) that you remember in tsuki nuki what you admit was wrong--"me uchi to the groin". The correct term is kinteki uchi. "Me", as you correctly point out, means "eye". Don't feel too badly about it, though; on my last visit to Brixton, there were still people saying, "Me uchi to the groin". I corrected as many as I could, but my work is never done...

I've just been granted another three-year visa, so I can now stay until July 2007 at the least, Huw. Whether I do is another matter, but I'll definitely be here at least one more year. I've just started my own translation company, and I need to build the business. However long that may take, I need to be here. After that, it doesn't matter where I go. I must apologise, but there was nothing sinister in my absence; I was just moving into a much nicer apartment, starting my own business, and buying a new PC. The one holdup to getting online again was the bloody-mindedness of NTT. Finally, I gave up on them and went with a private cable provider, Usen. Much better. They came out three days later and installed a fibreoptic cable link directly into my office in about 2.5 hours, whereas NTT hummed and hawed for 2.5 weeks. Time NTT suffered the same fate as Ma Bell...
Best,
