I may be opening up an old can of worms here. I'm sure I'm not the first one to bring this up. But I'm new so forgive me.
Anyone ever do two man kata with Kendo armor and or shinai? Or at least with just kote?
Nice to see E-budo back up

At least those two do kata with bokuto and kote (though they aren't the standard kendo bogu-type). Hope that helps some.
Be well,

I do this occasionally with the students in my club. As using shinai and bogu necessitate some small changes in maai and kamae from how you do the kata with bokuto, I don’t do it very often. I’ve found it to be useful in two specific areas: getting new uchidachi to actually try to strike shidachi if they’re hesitant to do so, and working on the timing of the nukiwaza.

I've tried it several times and it's very good to show why you do kata, especially at the earlier stages where the reasoning behind the kata's might seem a bit vague...and as mentioned, to get people to cut like they mean it.
