http://www.iaitoshop.com

Ran across a reference to it on another forum. They appear to carry some of the same things Tozando carries. The site seems a little misleading in a couple of places. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with them.

A search of the archives turned up nothing.

One thing that strikes me as extremely peculiar is a link on the left nav bar to Swordstore.com Why would they provide a link to a competitor?

I would be very, very cautious. I recognize several pictures that are lifted from other websites (one from www.bokkenshop.com , to give just one example), and as you have noticed, they basically have copied Tozando's range of iaito. To put it bluntly, it looks like someone's trying to scam for quick profits...

The thought of ordering "Japanese Made" iaito from a company in Thailand sets alarm bells ringing in my head.

Yes,
they warn their customers not to order from any OTHER company in Thailand. That sounds interesting. Maybe one should check with tozando.com. Basically Tozando also orders from another manufacturer in Japan and people in Thailand could do the same.
The prices look really nice, though...

They didn't look that much better than Tozando. I'm not even sure they are better than Tozando's prices.

A new web shop, in Bangkok, with prices in US$ ?...
Sorry but I would not give them my credit card references.

Better to buy such articles from a well known shop.

The new interest in iaito induced by questionable movies could raise some easy money tricks.

So be carefull.

One of our dojo members bought something there, Charles, & said it wasn't a very pleasant experience.

I don't recall exactly what she bought, but it took a long time, wasn't the right size, & she had to return it to them before they would replace it. I'm not even sure she has what she wanted even now.

Seems like there may be better choices these days.
