I've never been invited, Tony. Oh, wait, I keep forgetting I have about another year left before I can drink...legally, that is.

I believe that was Mark Twain. And after the damage of being forced to read Tom Sawyer so many times in grade school, I wouldn't be in a club that would have him either.:D

Actually, what's slightly new about the site is the political flame warriors. He's only got a few, but they are pretty funny.

The quote about not wanting to belong to a club that would have him as a member is more commonly associated with Groucho Marx. See http://www.cnn.com/2001/SHOWBIZ/TV/03/13/grouch.marx/ .

Yes, that's who I thought it was.
How old do you have to be to drink in the motherland. (UK)

18. Which means that kids start at 12. ;) :toast:
16 for smoking, 17 for driving, and then from 18, you can do everything else, including drink alcohol, join the army and get shot, and go to prison for life.
I know the USA is 21, and it's 20 in Japan (the age of majority here); how about everywhere else?
Greetings,
We had a civil code dating from 1911, which was replaced a couple of years ago. In the former one, you had some rights when you reached 18, and full rights at 21.
Now all happens at 18 (driving, conscription, getting busted...). We can vote with 16, but that's about it. Oh, I double Kehoe san here, people drink and smoke much sooner.
If you commit a murder 1 day from your 18th birthday, you're still considered a minor and treated as such. But discussions regarding that, in here, are very poor in arguments and dealt with in primary and superficial ways.
Enought babbling...
Yours,
PwarYuex

Damnit, Huck Finn is such a piece of trash- I have to study that.
It's impossible to read for long periods of time, you have to keep looking away at normal words...
