I have heard that the grand prize for this is going to be a Howard Clark 1086 blade, is that correct?

Hi all,

My girlfriend and I will be going to the Tai Kai as spectators on Saturday, Mar. 5. We are planning to leave from our house near the Phoenix airport in the morning to get there around 9/10 am. We will probably return to Tempe that night around 6/7 pm unless I get absolutely wasted from the traditional post-budo-demo events. In which case we will stay there until Sunday morning. In any event, if you need a ride from/to Phoenix and this fits in your schedule, let me know--I've got room for two, or maybe three, and I live very close to the phoenix airport. It will be good to meet some of the people there.

You can pm me if you need.

This was posted yesterday on Sword Forum by McClafferty Sensei thought folks who read here should know!

READ THIS!!!!

Its been brought to my attention that there are 5 cutting events and only three kata events in the quest for a sword. Luckily Dale Brown of Cas Iberia has donated a sword for the competition. So there will be an all around winner in the cutting divisions for the Howard ClarK Katana and an all around winner in kata division for the Cas Iberia "Wind and Thunder" Katana. If you practice your cutting and your kata, you might walk away with both.

Are felons allowed to participate?
Or does carl only go to their dojo if the teacher served time?

You use to have to sign your name after posting here. From your other posting on this forum, I take it you're talking about Bill Cavalier. I did seminars for his students in the mid-90s in Ryuseiken with Saruta Mitsuhiro Sensei, not Sekiguchiryu. I don't believe he was a felon than and don't know if he is now, haven't had any coorespondence with him since than. To answer your other allegations, I wouldn't know the Tatsu Do if it jumped up bit you in your a$$, because my little anonymous liar, I've never studied nor wanted to study it. As far as GJK, I've responded enough on that. I haven't had anything to do with that organization since the mid 90s, for obvious reasons.

Hide like any good troll under your bridge, bit your lip in frustration and enjoy your life.

Hey Carl,

While the new user registration doesn't have the rules displayed as it once did (they're working on that now, I think), every forum has the rules linked at the top, and the full name rule is still in effect (thank god).

As for our little troll, he's been reported and banned already. I don't think anyone took him seriously.

Yeah, Jim's been writing to all forums using a different name each time and continually gets banned. Like a knat buzzing around that you know you need to eventually swat.
