Cease Fire!

I would like to ask that we please declare a temporary cease fire pertaining to certain matters. The issue in question has been discussed incessantly for several days now. We have aired grievances, proposed solutions, debated circumstances, and generally allowed ourselves to be drawn into a serious conflagration. I do not feel that the benefits of this conversation are presently sufficient to justify the degree of serious anger that I am sensing among various members, and frustration among the moderators, who have been performing heroic efforts at damage control. Please, let us join together and work towards peace for a time. I believe this will ultimately benefit everyone.
