Help building a weapons rack....

Sensei has asked me to take care of building a weapons rack for the dojo. The only problem here is I have no tools, no buildings skills and no idea how to do this. Any suggestions? Any simple designs?

First, find out who at the dojo has the experience and equipment you need and draft them. If your dojo has a batch of kids, hit up their parents for help.

A weapon's rack doesn't have to be fancy - just some upright pool cue holders for staffs, some shelves for other stuff, and some pegs to hang stuff like sai from. Paint or stain it and bolt it to the wall.

Find out what budget you have from the dojo while you are at - you should be expensed your building supplies from the dojo account and he will have some cash figure in mind on what the dojo can afford. My experience is that many people will donate a lot of time, tools, and even a few bucks for such an endeavor on top of what the dojo is putting forth.

Just because you've been tasked with it doesn't mean you have to build it, all you have to do is get it done. Welcome to the world of project management. :cool:
