You can find tons of them on ebay. Problem is, you have to take the time to hunt. Yamatoku-classic, Ryu-japan, Ichiroya, are all ebay sellers I have bought from with no problems, in quality or service.
Most of my good Japanese stuff is from ebay, at a fraction of the cost. Heck, some of had never been worn. Just remember to check out the ratings of the seller before you bid.

Try looking in " The Hakama Lady" (Susan Andrade) website.
She makes Custom Kakama & other stuff.

Tom,
Are you talking about a "real kimono", or a yukata? The difference being formal wear and casual wear, more or less. Most people don't know the difference, that's why I ask. My Kimono cost me in the four figures- so you might want to consider that.

wow... Russ, thats would be an expensive kimono.... I want a solid color kimono, I guess since I want it made of cotton it would be considered a yukata. I would like it to be under $100 if possable. It seems hard to find solid color ones though, I found plenty of web sites with patterned ones.

You should give Stephen at Daimyo Outfitters http://home.att.net/%7Edaimyo.outfitters/index.html a try as well. He'll give you great quality with a reasonable price. Would it be considered odd to wear a yukata and hakama together? I always wondered.

I would think so. A yukata is, literally, a bath robe. It's appropriate to wear for lounging on hot summer nights, too, but is not a formal item, which a hakama is.
That's not to say that a solid-color cotton kimono must be considered a yukata. While formal and semi-formal kimono are usually made of silk or wool (and nowadays synthetics like Tetron), if the style is less like a yukata and more like a traditional kimono then I think you could safely call it a kimono.
In addition to a kimono, another item that can be worn with a hakama is a hakamashita ("under the hakama"). It's a garment that looks like a kimono, but is cut shorter so it lays smoother under the hakama, and is cooler to wear and easier to move in.
