Hello!

Until recently, there were many sites with the SCAP Directive against State Shinto, ordered by the American military occupation forces in post-war Japan.
But suddenly, it seems it disappeared from all sites (or maybe I just can't find it). Can anyone give me the address of a site that still have it?

This is relevant to the constitutional question, too, but for the US Army's official view of the subject, see

http://www.gwjapan.com/ftp/pub/general/armyhdbk/armyhbk6.txt

Seems the opposition parties quite liked the new constitution. Imagine that.

For a comparison of US influence on Japanese and Korean education following WWII, try http://www.aks.ac.kr/leegs/hespaper2.htm

http://www.law.upenn.edu/conlaw/issues/vol1/num3/hamano.htm may also have something.

Sorry I can't help more.

YAMANTAKA . My God, Svinth! If this is less, I'm really afraid what would be more...!!!
My friend, you gave me much than I asked for. But not exactly what I asked for : The written SCAP Directive Against State Shinto, that is, the ordem from SCAP forbidding involvement of State with Religion. It was previously in many places on Internet but, all of a sudden, it disappeared from all sites. What happened?
Best regards and thank you very much.
