Hello,
I was watching this video of a street fight. It ended up being two on one, the shear viciousness of the assault is worth noting. I make it a habit of watching as many street fight clips as I can. Most are flailing or swinging wild. Rolling around on the ground etc etc. It is rare see a throw in a street fight that stunned/knocked the guy out. granted he was distracted by two on one but still was a nice throw. These guys seem very good at fighting. doesnt look like they train in any particular style but still are very effective. They train in the school of hardknocks? Please post your thoughts/observations.

Was the guy who was talking smack the one that was beat up? I agree with the arm flailing or swinging wild. Looks like the first punch was just that a wild swing that caught the other guy off guard. The throw almost looks like an accident though. If you slow it down, it looks to me like the aggressor lost his footing but held on. I also don’t think they are part of any style other than school of hard knocks. They both have uncontrolled wide swings and unfocused kicks. I’ll agree they hit the target but, unfocused none the less.

This does show me two things… For what it’s worth.

1. Don’t be talking crap. And above that don’t have your friend video tape the results when you get the hell beat out of you.

2. Watch out for the other guy. He might not be a bystander.

Was the guitar player def and blind or why did he kept playing his blues like nothing happened? Blues guitar, Christmas lights... what an abstract scene.

1. Don’t be talking crap.
I am with this one.

looked pretty average for a street fight, though I've seen a lot better when one of them has done some boxing or karate.

Rule #1 - stay up off the ground. First one on the ground usually gets their butt kicked.

I agree here as the footage shows.

One thing I did see is about 15 seconds into the clip the individual that ran up to the second aggressor use what looks like an inverted back fist to the head. Wholly sh!t proof that technique works... could have killed that guy right then and there if he had the proper body mechanics. Took the steam right out of that guy.

I love when people want to know my thoughts!:)

I think if the recipient of the attack was trained, he wouldn't of had a problem there. He appears to have good reflexes and the desire to defend himself whole-heartedly.

When the first strike came, he moves real nice, by giving way to it. Unfortunately for him, he gave up his balance and was focused on only the one attacker.

I can't blame him for the focus. I think it looks like he got a good taste of that first punch even though he moved. From then on, it's a cluster-****. I don't know what to say about the rest.

I figure, by giving up the opportunity at the beginning, he licked the street.

As far as the initial attack goes, it's a standard scenario that I see in class everytime--easy to defend distance and a strike that comes from way out. You couldn't ask for a better start to a fight.
