EVERYONE DONATE FOR HURRICANE RELIEF!!! I WILL MATCH YOUR DONATIONS!!!
I am participating in Hurricane Katrina Blog Relief Day fundraiser (http://truthlaidbear.com/katrinarelief.php) using Feed The Children as my recommended charity. I will match all donations made on Thursday, 1 September until the total amount contributed reaches $400. If you wish to contribute, contact me using the email link on my blog (link in my signature). I would prefer not to use the ebudo pm system for this (too much of a hassle).

A dollar gets you seven pounds of emergency aid here. 91% of donations goes directly to the service provided to the recipients. The rest is maintenance and fundraising.
If you want to donate for Hurricane Katrina from their home page (not the link I provided which runs to the Feed The Children Hurricane Katrina page), make sure you click specifically on the blue box that says "Please send relief to the victims of Hurricane Katrina". You can do it online (pretty easy process online...it is what I used) or call 1-800-525-7575 or 1-888-58CHILD.
I realize some of you are still in high school and probably don't make much money...but don't let that stop you. Even if you can only send one dollar, that's still seven pounds of aid they wouldn't have without you. Give up that soda or Gatorade or beer. Give up that snack or two and help a good cause!
No matter what people around the world say, America has consistently been the top country when it comes to private charity donations. Show your pride, unity and generosity by donating today! Do what you think is right.
